useful past paper websites

Here is a list of different websites you can use to find past papers for all different subjects ranging from accounting and biology to mathematics and Engineering Graphics and Design. These are some really helpful websites we’ve used in our own matric year. This list includes websites for both IEB and NSC Matric Grade 12 Past papers:

useful maths and ap/ future studies maths youtube channels

YouTube is a really amazing resource to self-teach or even expand your existing knowledge and I highly encourage you to do your own research. Although it may take some time and some of the channels may be a bit obscure, there are some genuinely passionate teachers teaching their respective subjects all for free! Another thing to note is a lot of our syllabus is shared with other countries, so even teachers teaching from a different country may be helpful. And remember Maths is quite old (some of calculus was discovered over 400 years ago) so there are tons of resources for those willing to look. That being said here are some useful links to Channels that cover the South African Curriculum:

useful physical science youtube channels

There is a lot of passion and love for physical sciences and chemistry believe it or not, but no-one is a better teacher than KEVIN MATHS SCIENCE and you’ll come to love Kevin’s simple explanations of complex topics in good time. There are of course tons of resources on YouTube for such a broad topic as Physics, but here are just a few:

useful university websites

When the time eventually does come to apply to university and it will (sooner than you think!) here are some links we hope will prove useful:

useful egd youtube channels

It often feels like EGD (Engineering Graphics and Design) doesn’t get enough love but there are those passionate few on YouTube whose speed, understanding and skills show just how much dedication there is amongst (some) teachers for the subject and you can learn a lot just by watching them:  even seeing a concept explained visually through an in-person video or just in different words to your own teacher can be invaluable  (of course there is no substitute for lots and lots of practice!) and hopefully you will retain some of that passion and knowledge for EGD even after you matriculate:

useful english and afrikaans links

YouTube is extremely helpful for poetry because you can rewind as many times as you need until it clicks and there are just tons of tutorials for  language and grammar out there:

CAT (COmputer applications technology ) and IT

Given that CAT and IT are practical subjects seeing someone practice the subject is quite helpful. And given the wide use of the Microsoft Office there are tons of tutorials out there. Here are just a few useful links:

AI

If you don’t know what AI is that’s fine just google it, but basically it’s a helpful tool that works like a texting on WhatsApp, but it’s just a robot not a real person whether to explain concepts, generate practice problems. Just try it out and don’t be too reliant on it, you’ll thank me later.
